of Paul Bozzo for inspiration.
In the first part of the class, we will be using rubber stamps and other items to make impressions in joint compound applied to hardboard panels. Your creation which will have to be painted later at home due to the drying time of the compound. Preparation of your panel can be messy, so you may want to wear old clothes or an apron.
To give us experience in how to paint our own panel at home, Sue will prepare a second panel in advance for each of us to paint in the second segment of the class.
All supplies will be provided to make the panel, except the following which you should bring:
- Brushes-3/4" to 1" wide-preferably with soft bristles. It makes it easier to spread the varnish.
- paper towels
- soft rag for removing paint
- rubber stamps- if you have some that you would like to use
- old doily- if you don't mind using it on the plaster
